Further to Miranda's Xmas and Taxis and Beyond Taxi Driver Bashing and New years Eve this year the state government has organised extra trains and buses on New years Eve. As a result they moved out people quicker and faster than taxis. May be taxi drivers made a little less money but it was less stressful for them. By the same time a few bus and train drivers got some overtime as a new years present. Happy face all around and welcome year 2010!
The authorities also enforced Islamic Shariah in a way by confiscating, banning and reducing alcohol consumption! As a result there were lesser aggression and violence!!

It was a good new years eve in terms of transport planing.
